About Sasha

Sasha Nary is a pastry chef, content creator, baking instructor, and the face behind social media pages @SashaCakesChicago. Sasha has been inspiring and training bakers from all over the world with her unique fusion of classic and modern baking and decorating techniques, delicious and colorful novelty recipes, as well as easy to follow courses, tutorials, and high quality baking products. Otherwise self taught, most recently Sasha has been certified by Le Cordon Bleu Paris after completing a series of pastry and baking courses.

Originally from Eastern Europe, Sasha has moved to United States twenty five years ago and submerged herself into learning new language, culture, while earning a second degree in business management and working full time as an account executive and educator for LVMH companies, while baking some sweets for family and friends on her free time. Always driven by color and design, an unstoppable passion to uplift others, and desire to take her passion for baking and decorating to the next level – she never felt artistically fulfilled in her former career. With the birth of her third child, Sasha made a life-changing decision to mastering her favorite French desserts and cake artistry full time, which led to establishing “Sasha Cakes Chicago” bakery . It’s her friends and family, who just few years ago, have pushed Sasha to start showcasing her work on social media, which brought a tremendous interest to her confections and videos.

From making her first cake at the age of 8 alongside her skilled grandma and mom, unstoppable love of desserts, to starting a completely new career with 3 kids “on hand” – Sasha is now sharing all of her experience and knowledge with aspiring and seasoned bakers while offering detailed live baking and decorating webinars, inspiring social media videos and proven, endlessly tested recipes. She has been a guest blogger and educator for Wilton Cakes and Cupcake Project, world-renowned TasteMade, How To Cake It, and WGN News, and has completed video creating projects for such moguls as Escoffier Schools and Wilton. Sasha’s work and tutorials have been published by The Feed Feed, Grey Like Weddings, in Cake Masters Magazine and American Cake Decorating Magazine, and several TV Chanels have hosted Sasha as a featured guest: WGN Chicago, FOX News, NBC, and most recently – Food Network where Sasha has competed on brand new shows “Candy Land” and Easter Spring Baking Championship. Sasha has recently been acquired by Front Table Books Publisher and has released her “Baking Magic” recipe cookbook, that has won awards from Canadian Book Club, Amazon, Target, Walmart, and Barnes & Noble. 

Sasha currently resides in Chicago with her husband and three kids, who are a major support system and inspiration for some of her recipes and designs.
